Would you believe me if I told you that the number of children with disabilities globally is estimated at almost 240 million? I want a world that gives all 240 million of these innocent children the proper resources for them to enhance their lives and futures.  There are millions of special needs children around the world who do not have the proper resources to help improve their lives due to financial reasons. By resources I mean appropriate schooling, applied behavior analysis, speech therapy, and more. My nonprofit organization is called Action for All and it aims to address the growing need to assist children and their families with disabilities. Action for All provides financial support to these families, while also facilitating therapy and learning, as well as help guide these children to a successful future no matter their family's income.  I am passionate about this organization because my younger brother has Autism. Growing up with a brother with Autism, I know first hand the immense struggles that children with disabilities face on a daily basis. Imagine going to school everyday with social phobia, excessive worry, obsessive compulsive behavior, phobias, and more. My brother has been fortunate enough to receive great resources to support him throughout the years, but there are a lot of children with disabilities who do not have this kind of support unfortunately. Many public schools do not have the funds to provide disabled students with appropriate accommodations. However, private schools do have the funds and resources to meet their needs, but this is very unrealistic for many families as these schools are very costly.  I believe that all children with special needs deserve the proper resources in order to improve their lives and futures. It is finally the first week of November, which means the best time of year is approaching us. There is something so magical about Thanksgiving and Christmas time. The decorations, the food, family time, cold whether, and traditions all make it so special. It is also a nice time for college students to go back home to their families and take a much needed break. I will be going back home to Newport for both holidays and I couldn't be more excited!  Let's talk about Thanksgiving first. Since I was a baby, every year for Thanksgiving we've gone to my aunt's house. She stays up the entire night to make the most amazing Thanksgiving feast for our entire family. I am always in charge of making the mac and cheese and my mom makes an amazing homemade pumpkin pie.
